BRADENTON, FL – Not all wins come pretty, but BCS (6-2) found a way to get the job done when it mattered most in a sopping wet affair with visiting powerhouse, Shorecrest Prep (5-3), on Thursday night. Junior quarterback Holland Hume threw for 182 yards and a touchdown, while freshman Cohen Fuller punched in a rushing touchdown in a 20-8 home win on Senior Night. Junior Andrew Delgado came up with two big catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, providing a huge spark for the offense.

An unheralded effort from the offensive line that battled all night, created opportunities, and gave the Panthers’ playmakers a chance to make things happen, along with a stout defense was the ultimate differentiator.

The defensive line put together its strongest performance of the season, and the secondary helped with forcing turnovers, disrupting Shorecrest’s offense, and making plays when it mattered most. Freshman Mason Masingil’s fumble recovery and 48-yard scamper to the end zone early in the fourth quarter to put the Panthers up 20-0.

A special Senior Night moment came from Marc Tassy, who came up with a huge interception and sack to help cap off a memorable night!

Up next the Panthers will travel to Foundation Christian Academy (6-2), which coming off a 35-32 win over SLAM Tampa. Kickoff next Friday is set for 7:00 p.m. up in Valrico.
